Dr. Jaccoma is available for comprehensive eye examination, diagnosis and treatment of all eye conditions. In addition to performing medical eye examinations, Dr. Jaccoma specializes in cataract surgery, pediatric eye care and aesthetic eye care.

Dr. Jaccoma is highly skilled in vision restoration using the revolutionary crystalens® and Restor® intraocular lenses for those with impaired vision from cataracts and presbyopia.

Dr. Jaccoma obtained his Bachelor of Science degree Cum Laude from Fairfield University, Fairfield Connecticut in 1978 and his M. D. degree from the University of Vermont in 1982. His Medical Internship was taken at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D. C. Dr. Jaccoma then completed a three year Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.

Dr. Jaccoma is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners (1983) and is Board Certified in Ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member in good standing of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the American Intraocular Implant Society, the Maine Medical Society, the Maine Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and the New England Ophthalmological Society.

Dr. Jaccoma is past president of the Medical Staff of the H. D. Goodall Hospital and is on the active medical staff at both the H. D. Goodall and Southern Maine Medical Center. Dr. Jaccoma is also on the teaching staff of the University of New England College of Medicine.

Dr. Jaccoma is also a practicing cosmetic and reconstructive Oculoplastic surgeon. Dr. Jaccoma performs restorative treatments such as Botox Cosmetic® and Restylane® at our new state-of-the-art medical spa facility, Associated Skin Care.
